Description

One-Piece Flow refers to producing one unit at a time as opposed to large lots and is attained through Modular Manufacturing where workers and equipment are arranged into U-shaped assembly cells instead of traditional production lines. This program will cover the principles and methods used to convert to quick response manufacturing and how to evaluate and implement a variety of systems into the plant for better results. Other topics include: advantages of the approach; expected results; how to determine the optimal number of employees per team; how to design operating procedures; laying out responsibilities and rules; developing a planning calendar.
